Electric and Magnetic Fields (EMFs)

 

The industry recognises that some public concerns exist as to a possible connection between EMFs and health.

As a responsible industry, the sector is committed to providing customers, members of the public and the industry's employees with full and up-to-date information on the issue.

These pages explain the industry's position on this issue, the research supported by the sector into EMFs and who to contact for more information.

National Grid has established a detailed information site called EMFs info which provides factual, comprehensive and fair information on EMFs. Go to: http://www.emfs.info/

The ENA site and EMFs info only look at EMFs produced by electric power systems and not at mobile phones and/or their base stations.
